I'm also curious, but for b130 of Opensolaris.  Any way to try to import a pool 
without the log device?  Seems like the ability to rollback of the pool 
recovery import should help with this scenario if you are willing to take data 
loss to get to a consistent state with a failed or physically removed zil.
