Yes, vdevs allow you to expand your zpool. One zpool consists of groups of hard drives. Your zpool consists of one group of drives. That group contains 4 drives that are 2TB. You can easily add another group of drives to your zpool.
You can not change the number of discs of a group, but you can add several groups.
