Clicking ``power off guest'' is the same as walking up and pulling the power cord out of the wall. That is now how the guest operating system is supposed to be shut down.
If VirtualBox does not at least flush pending writes (that it lied about) when the user clicks on ``power off guest'' then it has committed a crime. Regardless, it has committed a crime.
