Looking to run a SAN attached Solaris 10 10/08 32-bit on an IBM HS20
with two 32-bit Xeon processors. 4GB of memory.

I've set kernelbase=0x50000000 and seem to be getting fairly decent
performance from a 1.5TB ZFS pool, however the system isn't under any
sort of load yet (ZFS performed abysmally -- like 20 times slower until
I set the kernelbase parameter!).

Obviously from what I'm reading, 64-bit is the recommended way to go..
but is 32-bit better than it used to be? Good enough perhaps? What
issues might I run into aside from performance?

Anecdotal experiences and/or hard facts appreciated. :-) Worst case I
guess I could go out and order some 64-bit processors for these blades.

Thanks,
Ray
