The lsi.com has a link to their driver for that card, which is itmpt. That *generally* means that it'll work fine with the mpt driver - on either sparc or x86/x64. I've not come across that particular model before, so I can't say for sure. As for "will it work on sparc" - yes, I would expect so. BUT without fcode it won't be bootable. That's what you are really asking, isn't it? It turns out you can change between IT and IR firmware using LSI's sasflash utility, and if I'm reading other parts of http://www.lsi.com/DistributionSystem/AssetDocument/support/downloads/SASFlash_Readme.txt correctly, then you should be able to flash fcode onto the card if it isn't there already. Have a look at the other downloads on the LSI url you mentioned. But no, sorry, no guarantees. James C.
