It looks like this is a bigger Oracle environment than any database environment that I've ever worked in :)
Anyway - when you create a zfs filesystem, you can do it with the '-V' option, which makes a block device of a fixed size that's accessible through the usual /dev device path. You can then put a UFS filesystem on this ZFS-backed block device. See 'man zfs' for details.
