PS (prescript?): t's considered good form to "reply all" so that other
people can see and thus reply to your question as well.  After all, I
could have been hit by a bus between the last message and this one ;)

NFSv4 mirror mounts are not integrated into solaris 10 that I know of,
as shown in the OpenSolaris bug database here:

and it's not mentioned in the release notes for 05/08:

So I don't think this is doable without OpenSolaris or Nevada > b77.
Linux may also implement mirror mounts, if that helps.
