I needed to free up some space to be able to create and populate a new upgrade. I was caught off guard by the amount of free space required by "zfs promote".

It was not until I had more than 2.71 GB of free space that I could promote rpool/ROOT/2008.05. This behavior does not seem to be documented. Is it a bug in the documentation or zfs? -- Mike Gerdts http://mgerdts.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ zfs-discuss mailing list zfs-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss
