The closest equivalent to ufsdump and ufsrestore is "star". Star includes the ability do do true incremental dumps/restores using the same basic method as ufsdump/ufsrstore do. Star just uses a portable tar/POSIX.1-2001 based archive to store the results. See "man star" and seach for the sections: INCREMENTAL BACKUPS BACKUP SCHEDULES INCREMENTAL RESTORES SYNCHRONIZING FILESYSTEMS Source: ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/star/ A binary package for star-1.5-final is on Blastwave.org Jörg -- EMail:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (home) Jörg Schilling D-13353 Berlin [EMAIL PROTECTED] (uni) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (work) Blog: http://schily.blogspot.com/ URL: http://cdrecord.berlios.de/old/private/ ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/schily _______________________________________________ zfs-discuss mailing list zfs-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss
