I would like to know why you and he believe so.
I believe this is something that cannot be looked at independently.
Well, looking at e.g. Amanda shows that the Amanda people use an incompatible
nomenclature. Amanda is e.g. doing time based backups but (as it prefers
GNU tar for backups) is unable to do a complete restore from scratch.
Mybe you and Rich could describe what you are interested in as you seem to
have an unusual understanding of what might be of interest.
