I have tried tcpip over fc in the lab, the performance was no diff compare to gigabit ethernet.

That would allow NFS traffic over the FC connections. I'm not necessarily recommending this as a solution - nor have I tried it myself. Just letting you know that the possibility exists. ... snip ...
