Don't take this numbers too seriously - those were only first tries to see where my port is and I was using OpenSolaris for comparsion, which has debugging turned on.
Yeah, ZFS does a lot of extra work with debugging on (such as verifying checksums in the ARC), so always do serious performance comparisons with non-debug bits.
