Well, a German author definitely may do this as the German Copuyright law allows to "use" a minor part of other peoples "work" without asking in case that there is a note on this fact. This is called: "Wissenschaftliches Kleinzitat". I believe that the US Copyright law has a similar exception (called "fair use") but you need to ask the author. > This issue is exactly why ATI/nVidia have their own GPL'd kernel > modules, but a proprietary driver. With knowledge on the fastly changing Linux kernel interfaces, this seems to be the best way to go anyway :-) Jörg -- EMail:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (home) Jörg Schilling D-13353 Berlin [EMAIL PROTECTED] (uni) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (work) Blog: http://schily.blogspot.com/ URL: http://cdrecord.berlios.de/old/private/ ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/schily _______________________________________________ zfs-discuss mailing list zfs-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss
