It was also unclear to me that legacy mounts were causing your
troubles. The ZFS Admin Guide describes ZFS mounts and legacy
mounts, here:

Richard, I think we need some more basic troubleshooting info, such
as this mount failure. I'll add some add'l troubleshooting scenarios
to the ZFS Admin guide.

It wasn't clear to me that you wanted a legacy mount, most people
find them to be more work than worthwhile.  I suppose your reference
to doing a "mount" should have been a tip, we don't need to do that
with ZFS, by default.  I don't think I know anyone who uses legacy
mounts with ZFS...

Cindy, perhaps we should spend some words on this for people who
are more comfortable with vfstab.
