and this method doesn't remove all stains from the disk anyway it just
reduces them so they can't be easily seen ;-)
I'm not sure if erasing outgoing disks is usable; apart from it taking a
long time, the reason for removing the disks may be that it no longer
responds.
I'm not suggesting bleaching for the user interface just for this
discussion so that I didn't use a word already used and I was purposely
avoiding using erase (should have said that!).
