restore commands like "zfs send" and
"zfs receive". More informations can be found on page 96 of the admin
guide. Is this what the customer is

Yes, 'zfs send' and 'zfs receive' are used to send filesystem contents
between ZFS storage pools (which may be on different machines). You can
find more information on send/recv in the zfs(1m) manpage and in the
Admin Guide.
