There were 7 bugs already found (3 M+) that are still applicable for 2.2.1 hence when they are fixed a backport should be applied for 2.2.2 . In regards of performance measurements were increased compared to 2.2 rc6 release but are on the same level for 2.3 M1 hence all the bugs related to this degradation were already addressed.
