Good point. But so far my experience with yocto forced me to go back and forth the 1.6 1.7 and 1.8 branches depending on the layers.
So I kind of stopped where it worked... without worrying about gdb that's true. I won't go updating everything for testing purpose right now so I'll leave it like that Thanks !
