Thank you for your inputs! I can see that both imx-boot binaries begin
with the same hex content, the tenth byte whatsoever is 01 in my build
and 00 in the build from Variscite. Then from the 23rd byte some more
differences and then the same bytes again. Lots of blocks with the same
content but still different. Actually I don't know how to interpret
that correctly. I don't know about openBMC either but looks
interesting, thanks for pointing, I'll have a look.
What does that mean, the boot is vendor-locked? The imx-boot image they
build can be put onto the sd-card and the board boots. So it must be
something within this image or u-boot itself I guess? Or do you mean
they put some signature or something in there?
