Hi, Mahendra Try using `useradd` instead of `usermod` for creating your user with the EXTRA_USER_PARAMS feature. Something like this:
EXTRA_USERS_PARAMS : append = "\ useradd -m -s /bin /bash -P 'mahi' root; \ "
