I have a 2.4 GHz Celeron. Single core, but I think yi is only using one core anyway. I also have a 2.4 GHz dual-core laptop, but it runs Windows so can't use vty. Well, I do see they have vty 4.0.0.1 on Hackage: http://hackage.haskell.org/package/vty. Also it appears I have both 3.1.8.4 and 4.0.0.1 installed.
