Oh that was caused by escToMeta.
However, there is still a problem which shows in Pango. In a new buffer,
the cursor
is displayed as a rectangle until a key is pressed. This is because the
keymap calls
setInserting True, but keymap actions are run by Yi.Core.dispatch, and
dispatch is
not called until a key is pressed.
