I've been trying to get objective measures of performance for Pango, but I get strange and inconsistent crahes when I attempt to use the Yi.Users.Cmcq config for Pango. I replaced the two lines (13/14) that handle the timing with simply: time dist/build/yi/yi time "$@", which reveals the various errors I'm getting:
* yi: Fatal IO error 4 (Interrupted system call) on X server :0.0. * UI just hangs after typing one or two characters * HackerMain.hs: line 15: 6282 Segmentation fault (line 15 is just the 'time' command) * yi: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. I receive all these errors with the exact same config and binary, by just running `sh HackerMain.hs -fpango' several times. I'm not sure what's going on, but the Pango UI seems very prone to failure during initialization.
