I spent some time yesterday working on timing Pango using the Cmcq timing config, but on my Debian Sid (Unstable) system, I got many weird X crashes ranging from printed memory maps (never even seen X do that before; very weird) to hanging without messages, and then simple one-line errors as well, and could arise from the same config. I'll have to play with this more. Also, I'm going to be on vacation for a few days (until the 3rd); I apologize for bringing up a new issue and running, I didn't really think about this last night. I'll resume playing with the Pango timers when I return.
