What steps will reproduce the problem? Open a 1000 or more lines file in yi, even if the syntax of the language used is trivial (LaTeX, for instance), typing is extremely slow. Moreover, pasting something from a global paste bin (for instance apple+V in Mac OS's terminal) will take 100% CPU for several minutes and even pasting three or four lines can take a minute.
