Public bug reported: In SmartOS, vmadm(1M) documents the hostname property as the way to set the VM's hostname. This property is available in the guest via the sdc:hostname metadata property. DataSourceSmartOS does not use this value. It currently sets the hostname from the following properties, the first one wins.
1. hostname 2. sdc:uuid The order should be: 1. sdc:hostname 2. hostname 3. sdc:uuid ** Affects: cloud-init Importance: Undecided Assignee: Mike Gerdts (mgerdts) Status: New ** Changed in: cloud-init Assignee: (unassigned) => Mike Gerdts (mgerdts) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Yahoo!
