Hey Marc,

I'm surprised that deleting a font by itself would stop your machine from
rebooting... Maybe something more than that got mixed up in the process.

When you say it doesn't boot, where does it fail?

Did you try to use the "rescue" option from the grub menu - I can't remember
quite off the top of my head what all your options are, but if it works you
might be able to get to a terminal and fix your system.

Otherwise, create a USB stick and boot from it to more closely examine the
situation. (I have a stack of USB sticks with various OS lying around - I find
I need them quite often for one purpose or another, including when I hosed my
machine and need to get it back on its feet)

Thanks,

Maarten Jacobs

Subject: [xubuntu-users] system won't reboot ...

Hello,

I wanted to delete all of mono, but, hey, I deleted fonts-noto-mono and
fonts-dejavu-mono, and the system won't restart. It is my "holiday
computer".

What can I try to repair?

Thanks,
Marc
