I run 16.04 on a T403 thinkpad (all Intel), I sometimes lose the
cursor when just switching workspaces etc., no suspend involved.
Might this be the same bug?

I also have a bug which occurs if I have the IBM Trackpoint enabled as
well as the standard touchpad - the cursor gets stuck in one mode (and
controls only one window) regardless of where it is on the screen.  I
currently have the trackpoint turned off to avoid the bug but it would
be nice to get my middle button back.  Might this too be related to
the same bug?
