I like the "splash animation V2" more because it binds the Logo and the Xubuntu name together. In v1 they are disassociated. I like the "Logo version 3" most because it's flatter. I think that gives the most professional feel. The first one gives me the default Windows XP look "teletubbies" feel. In the "greeter screen", I think it would look better if the logo and login would also be bound together by having something like in the "login_who_00.png" here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/EdgyProposals/Summary_18JULY2006 (I liked the 00 version of the "who" ones most because the login part was *not* transparent.
