For the button press, I see just window 102760448, BUTTON_PRESS Button 2 modifier 0 (411,82) window 102760448, BUTTON_RELEASE Button 2 modifier 512 (411,82)
as expected. For debugging events, I sometimes find it useful to fire up an Xvnc with no clients except the one I'm debugging, so I know there's nothing else looking at events.
