libxcb provides an interface to the X Window System protocol, which replaces the traditional Xlib interface.
libX11 also uses XCB as a transport layer, allowing software to make requests and receive responses with both, which eases porting to XCB. This release fixes build issues for Windows & NetBSD platforms. For those building for 32-bit platforms, it also enables use of the "large file" APIs - though xcb mainly uses stat() calls on sockets, not normal files. Since this release was generated using the new GNU autoconf 2.72, this also adds a --enable-year2038 configure flag which may allow xcb to work with sockets whose timestamps are later than January 19, 2038, but this has not been tested.
