"Xorg -configure" is an anachronism that only very rarely serves any useful purpose. When it succeeds to write a file, it's loaded with bits that Xorg gets right automatically every time, which obfuscate the few bits that could possibly be of any real use in solving a real problem. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
