I have a new monitor that does 3840x2160 - except it doesn't... I can get it do display for a little bit, then it goes blank, display again for a little bit, then blank... It varies as to how long the display will show before blank - and varies as to how long its blank.
I have tried selections 3840x2160_60, 3840x2160_50, 3840x2160_30, 3840x2160_24 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): --- Modes in ModePool for Acer K242HQK (DFP-1) --- [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "nvidia-auto-select" : CEA-861B:#97:3840x2160x59.940Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160" : CEA-861B:#97:3840x2160x59.940Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160_60" : CEA-861B:#97:3840x2160x59.940Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160_50" : CEA-861B:#96:3840x2160x50.000Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160_30" : 3840 x 2160 @ 30.0 Hz (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160_30_0" : CEA-861B:#95:3840x2160x29.970Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "3840x2160_24" : CEA-861B:#93:3840x2160x23.980Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080" : 1920 x 1080 @ 60.0 Hz (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_60" : 1920 x 1080 @ 60.0 Hz (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_60_0" : CEA-861B:#16:1920x1080x59.940Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_50" : CEA-861B:#31:1920x1080x50.000Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_30" : CEA-861B:#34:1920x1080x29.970Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_24" : CEA-861B:#32:1920x1080x23.970Hz/P (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_60i" : CEA-861B:#5:1920x1080x59.940Hz/I (from: EDID) [ 339.244] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): "1920x1080_50i" : CEA-861B:#20:1920x1080x50.000Hz/I (from: EDID) but all behave the same. 1920x180 works just fine. I have a HDMI 2.0 cable and NVIDIA GT 720 video card. I use CentOS 6.7 and NVIDIA drivers 358.16 Any thoughts on this ? Thanks, Jerry
