Not that I can provide much help, but what is the "Device" section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? ls /etc/X11/ less /etc/X11/xorg.conf If there is no such file, what is the listing of your /etc/X11/ directory, or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ directory?
