Not that I can provide much help, but what is the "Device" section of
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?

ls /etc/X11/

less /etc/X11/xorg.conf

If there is no such file, what is the listing of your /etc/X11/
directory, or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ directory?  Also the file
50-device.conf

ls /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/

less /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-device.conf

Incidentally I have OpenSUSE 13.2 running Gnome.
