This is the first RC for synaptics 1.7.6 and includes all the backports needed to support the Lenovo *40 series (including Yoga, Helix, 2ng gen Carbon X1). These are the touchpads that provide no physical buttons for the trackstick but instead expect the touchpad driver to software-emulate those buttons.
Note that autodetection of these touchpads depends on the INPUT_PROP_TOPBUTTONPAD property to be set in the kernel [1]. And since all of these touchpads have a broken PS/2 firmware, you need a set of quirks [2]. Without the property, use Option "HasSecondarySoftButtons" to enable/disable that feature. More info here: http://who-t.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/xorg-synaptics-support-for-lenovo-t440.html Aside from those, the backports include improved clickfinger3 detection, fixed acceleration defaults on a few mac models, and a unicorn.
