DRI is broken on PPC, AFAIK. Otherwise, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCFAQ#ATI_Rage_128_cards and for instance http://www.mintppc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1137&start=40 (ojordan is doing a good job trying to keep PPC ports alive).
