I am struggling with Fedora 17 to enable CRT mode in X when my EDID has a checksum error. The ATI proprietary driver worked so well until support was dropped with the kernel change with Fedora 17 (3.7.9-104.fc17). The default resolutions are all lower than the CRT capability ( and currently working under Windows or under Fedora 16) and no KMS.
What commands or xorg.conf will resolve my problem?
