Please start XMLmind XML Editor, do not open any document, click the
"Copy" button found in the "Help|About" dialog box (see

and send us a copy of the contents of the clipboard.
Your symptoms resemble an out-of-memory error.
Does it happen when editing a large document, possibly containing many
high-resolution images?
Does it take like forever when you open this large document in XMLmind
XML Editor?
This already large document could have grown bigger and bigger with the
years.

It's also always to a good idea to temporarily disable your anti-virus
software to make sure that it's not the cause of the problem.
Also, if you think it could help, do not hesitate to send us a copy of
this large document along with all its image resources.
