Problem solved, thanks to your mentioning tables … I'd made the mistake of using the status on a <row> to invoke conditional processing. I do feel, though, this is a shortcoming: I need to present a table with three new rows, I need to highlight them, and now it seems I have to enclose the content of each <entry> in a <ph>. Good thing I found my notes on "using the status attribute for conditions", probably derived from an earlier discussion.
I shall do my very best to get the upgrade – first I'd heard of it, though, since corporate settings mean I don't receive automatic notifications and can't even run Help > Check for updates. Starting from a command line sounds like something I should try, just for future reference.
