Good morning

I am using XMLMind XML Editor Professional Edition 8.0.0.

I have just come across a problem where footnotes in my text have not been
converted into my output documents (XML, pdf or Word 2007).

On investigation, the problem areas were where I had pasted pieces of text
using <<Past As>> <<Paste from Word >>.

If I manually enter a footnote in XMLMind it appears in the xml as:
<fn>Example Footnote Text</fn>

If I paste text from Word that contains a footnote it appears as:
<fn id="_ftn1"><p>(1) Example Footnote Text</p></fn> which does not
render in the output documents.

If I remove the id attribute from the <p> element the footnote is rendered
correctly in the output.
Note that footnote reference from the original Word source is retained (within
the sup element) even though it may not be relevant in the new context and, in
any case, doubles up the numbering.

I think this is a bug in the way XMLMind pastes text from Word.
