Just curious, how is XMLmind used in a collaborative environment? We
have several editors working on one XML based specification and
typically each person makes small edits to existing docs, you cannot
have an editor that reformats everything (unless everyone uses XMLmind
of course, but that is not realistic).
I cannot really answer this question.
Automatically reformatting XML documents each time they are saved to
disk is an issue only when you use diff, that is, differences between
lines of plain text, to compare document revisions and diff-based
storage of document revisions.
Therefore my guess is that our biggest customers
- either exclusively use XMLmind XML Editor (which is realistic in the
context of large corporations which often prefer to "standardize" the
tools their employees use)
AND/OR
- they use XML databases/content management systems which are immune to
changes in the *physical* representation of XML.
