Please use the "Search" facility of:

You would have found:

is there a setting to prevent table rows from
breaking across a page when outputting from .dita to .pdf?

Always the same idea: please add attribute

keep-together.within-column = always

to the relevant attribute-sets.

In the case of a CALS table, the attribute-set is called:

table

In the case of a simpletable, the attribute-set is called:

simpletable

Which attribute-set to modify can be easily found by taking a look at:

XXE_install_dir/addon/config/dita/xsl/fo/*.xsl

or

ditac_install_dir/xsl/fo/*.xsl

--> Note that doing this could give very ugly results.

A few weeks ago, we implemented what you requested in your message

https://www.mail-archive.com/xmleditor-support@xmlmind.com/msg11549.html

to immediately remove it because this indeed worked as expected but, in the general case, this lead to very poorly formatted documents (having some half-blank pages).

Now we are thinking about implementing the support of a <?page-break?> processing instruction in XMLmind DITA Converter (ditac; http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/).
