We have purchased the XMLmind DITA Editor Professional version as we
are working on a project which utilizes doc to DITA conversion. We
procured one license and once if the testing is complete and we are
satisfied with the output, we are planning to procure 5 to 10 licenses.
So currently I'm testing the output of the DITA editor.
We are only looking for utilizing the Map, Task(Strict), Reference and
Concept templates. Our topics are in Word files, so I'm using the
"Paste from Word" Feature, while testing it I found that the output for
the reference and concept meets our requirements but when it comes to
Task we needs some help.
So here are my questions:
1. In the task template instead of <steps><step><cmd> tags the
"Paste from Word" gives <ul><li> output. Please see the desired vs what
we are getting from DITA editor below. Please help in this regard.

2. Is there a way to create random Ids (eg., id="ul_tkv_v2c_lr")
instead of id="???" for the <task> element?
--> First of all, please explain why you are using "Paste from Word" to
import topics as a whole. "Paste from Word" is good at pasting
*snippets* copied from Word.
The “Word To XML” add-on for XMLmind XML Editor does a better job in
that respect:
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/addons_doc.html#word_to_xml
Please give it a try. It's as simple as using "Options|Install Add-ons"
to download it and install it from within XMLmind DITA Editor
(http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/optionsMenu.html).
After restarting XMLmind DITA Editor, please use "File|Import DOCX" to
import a DOCX as a DITA task.
Now, it's true that the fully functional version of the “Word To XML”
add-on is not available at no additional costs in XMLmind *DITA*
Editor. The fully functional version of the “Word To XML” add-on is
available at no additional costs only in XMLmind *XML* Editor.
--> This being said, we offer no help whatsoever about customizing
what's done by "Paste from Word" and this, whatever the quantity of
licenses you may purchase in the future.
(Helping you customize "Paste from Word" would cost us more than the
price of 5 to 10 licenses.)
You need to do that yourself by carefully reading:
