--> This should not prevent you from customizing XXE. However this must
not be done by editing stock configuration files like topic.xxe or
copies of stock configuration files. This must be done by creating a
.xxe file importing the stock configuration files. (Moreover, if you do
this, you'll not see the "---" prefix errors.)

This is is the *only* method which is officially supported by us. If you
directly modify stock configuration files or copies of stock
configuration files, 1) we will be not be able to help you 2) your
customization will not survive to XXE upgrades.
