Thank you for your thorough response. Are these items covered in your
consulting services?

Sure. If you are interested, please proceed as explained here:

Quick Customization Service, http://www.xmlmind.com/customization_service.html

Also, do you have a company/person that you
recommend for xsl customization?

No. I suggest that you send an email explaining what you want to change in the DocBook XSL stylesheets to the following mailing-lists:

docb...@lists.oasis-open.org

docbook-a...@lists.oasis-open.org

If what you want is simple enough, a good soul may even do it for free (or at least, give you a quick start for free). Otherwise, I'm pretty sure that an XML consultant will propose her/his services.

Please understand that we cannot do that ourselves because we don't known the DocBook XSL stylesheets sufficiently well to give you an accurate estimation of the customization costs. Really sorry for that.

Once this is done, there is no problem integrating this DocBook XSL stylesheets customization into XMLmind XML Editor.

I would strongly recommend to first solve your XSL customization problems before asking us to customize the GUI of XMLmind XML Editor.

The rationale here is simple: it's not useful to quickly and easily insert custom processing instructions in the DocBook source if these custom processing instructions are not taken into account by the DocBook XSL stylesheets.

It seems like this could work for our
company if we can just get a few items addressed. Thanks!
