yeah, I realized just after I sent it that the request was for dita-ot.
oops.  anyway good for you to know, and I personally think that dita-ot, as
the reference implementation,  should not favor itself. it's really about
DITA, not any particular implementation.  I'm going to send a (very mild)
message to that effect.
