You have already answered this question, I know, but probably a couple of years ago and I've forgotten where to find the answer ... it's about font mapping, and how to resolve the discrepancies between What You See and What You Get :-} specifically, I just used the helpful symbols palette to insert a Unicode arrow into my text (not for a menu cascade, of course) and then had a message from Acrobat to say 'Arial MT does not include this glyph'. Of course, this could also be Adobe messing things up the way Illustrator replaces Arial with Arial MT every time I open an .svg ...
