Description
I upgraded to version 7.0.0 two days ago and I just encoutered two
problems._
_

_1 - It is no longer possible to display the XML source_
Since the upgrade I can no longer display the files' XML source.
It used to be possible via a checkbox in the menu View as well as the
shortcut ctrl+shift+X, the option is no longer listed at the top of the
menu and the shortcut does not work.
I noticed that at the bottom of the menu View, there is an option "3 XML
source", I'm guessing that it is the new way of diplaying the source but:

 1. when I click on the option the file turns gray and I cannot read
    anything. (cf attached image)
 2. even in the "Multiple views", "XML source" won't work. In the
    multiple view setting, it simply does not do anything.

_2 - I cannot open some documents straight away_
Every time I want to open a recent file (from the menu File) or I drag
and drop a file in XML Editor, the file name is displayed in the bottom
bar but not displayed. I have to repeat the same action a second time to
actually open the file.
There is no problem if I use File > Open, the file opens.


Please do not bother sending us any further information. I managed to reproduce the problem by first installing XXE v6.7 on Windows 10 and then installing XXE v7, without first uninstalling XXE v6.7.

Installing XXE v7 over XXE v6.7 (e.g. using default location "C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLmind_XML_Editor") keeps old v6.7 files (e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLmind_XML_Editor\addon\edit_source\edit_source.jar") in the v7 installation directory. Hence all the problems you had.

The cure is very simple:

1) Uninstall XXE v7. This will completely delete "C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLmind_XML_Editor", including the old v6.7 files.

2) Install XXE v7 again.

This bug is specific to Windows and to our setup.exe. We'll fix it for the next release of XXE. Meanwhile, we'll inform all our users that they have to first uninstall their old version of XXE before installing v7.
