Our company uses XMLMind (the attached email to our XMLMind is

program will not open with our main manual XML file (339 KB), but will
open other smaller files just fine. The program attempts to load the
file for multiple minutes (the longest we allowed was 30 minutes).
We are wondering if anyone knows if upgrading the program will fix this
problem? We are currently working with v5.8.0.

339KB is not that big. We routinely open 2Mb+ DocBook documents in just a few seconds. Therefore I don't think it's an out of memory problem and I don't think that upgrading would fix anything.

There is a problem which is specific to your main manual XML file. It's probably quite easy to fix it. The quickest and simplest is to send me privately (mailto:huss...@xmlmind.com) a .zip archive containing all the XML and graphics files comprising your manual. I'll try to open the manual here at XMLmind and get back to you very quickly.

If you cannot do this, then I'm afraid you'll have to find the problem by yourself, may be by referring to these FAQs:
