I wonder if mine is the same problem as that reported recently: Re: strange persistent graphic (GRUNDTVIG NIELSEN Niels AWL-T&P)
That is, it's FOP doing the image cacheing (why remains a mystery). It's consistent with the first conversion after starting XXE being always correct. However, I tried to reproduce the problem in a minimal generic example - but all conversions worked correctly. Previously, I have not been using the Navigation Pane. Doing this now - with one Nav Pane for the A map, and another for the B map, and doing 'Update navigation pane' immediately before converting the corresponding map, seems to avoid the problem. Following your advice, I'll do it this way in future. regards Roy MacLean| Technical Writer | T: +44 20 7562 7777 | M: +44 7956 474 911 | Dovetail | 2 Minster Court, London, EC3R 7BB, UK | The information in this email is for the sole use of the intended recipients(s). Looks like a bug. I even suspect XXE to crash during the display of the faulty image. On Windows, suffice to start XXE using <XXE_install_dir>/bin/xxe-c.bat to open a console allowing you to see the "crash report" (stack trace). If you see a crash report, please copy all lines and send these to us. > > The first conversion after starting XXE is always correct. These options are really required for your use case. They are found in Options|Preferences, Tools|Navigation Pane section. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/toolsOptions.html#navigationPaneOptions 2) If these options are turned on, does a View|Redraw (Ctrl-L) fix the problem? See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/viewMenu.html If the above suggestions do not solve the problem, then please be kind enough to send us sample files allowing to reproduce the problem here at XMLmind.
